Deedra Jordan-Evans’ journey has been anything but traditional. She began performing on television at a very young age and later received a basketball scholarship to Southern Nazarene University but earned her Journalism degree from University of Central Oklahoma.
Her talents continued to afford her opportunities such as singing background vocals for legendary gospel recording artist Dottie Peoples. Later, she landed roles in commercials and feature films such as Bringing Up Bobby (2011) alongside Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) and Bill Pullman (Independence Day) and the faith-based feature film Home Run (2013) alongside Scott Elrod (Lone Survivor) and Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill Vol. 2). Deedra would also go on to perform stand-up comedy for summit tours, churches and comedy clubs across the United States.
Married with kids, she is currently pursuing a Masters in Adult Education and Training. Armed with a contagious smile, she still travels and performs.
Deedra’s positive and energetic personality shines through in her acting, stand-up comedy, writing and motivational speaking. Her goal is to inspire and encourage others to pursue their destiny, or at least have fun trying.
